7 Over-Looked Hints That Suicide Squad Will Be Awesome

1. The Ending

Lord knows the buzz is a good indicator for Suicide Squad, and if the fan community has anything to say about it, there'll be a lot of bums on seats come August next year. I think mainstream audiences will warm to it too as it's got a great cast attached and a unique premise (at least in terms of the genre) that'll shake off any fatigue people might be feeling from the glut of comic book movies out there. Warner Bros is probably heavily aware of this too, and if they're smart they'll make a play to set-up a sequel at the end of this one. Studios usually make a safe play to leave things open-ended for a sequel, just in case they have a surprise smash hit on their hands, but in this instance the head honchos over at Marvel's Distinguished Competition should be actively gunning for one considering the early buzz and public interest. The question is, where to take it? Rest assured, the last five minutes of Suicide Squad have the potential to be among the best of all the blockbusters coming out next year. It's just a toss-up between whether they'll set up Suicide Squad 2 or the next solo Batman outing, but my money is on the latter. We already know Batman is going to feature in a flashback at some point in the movie, where he'll be seen taking down Joker and Harley. With that flashback already in place in the middle of the film it's easy to then theorise that the end of Suicide Squad could be a scene where the Joker breaks out, thus setting the stage for his appearance in the next Batman solo flick, currently rumoured to follow the Under the Red Hood storyline. What better way to set-up Batfleck's Day Out*? In any event, we know that Suicide Squad's ending is going to be a real table-setter for the next few years - one way or another... *Not yet confirmed title of next solo Batman film Suicide Squad is released on 5 August 2016.
