7 Over-Looked Hints That Suicide Squad Will Be Awesome
2. Enchantress' Power-Set
So we know that Enchantress looks suitably batsh*t crazy thanks to Cara Delevingne's tortured/insane facial expressions in the trailer and the frankly mental Empire Magazine cover recently. And while it's safe to say that her performance is going to be good - she presented herself as a natural actress with the YA novel adap Paper Towns - the real kicker is going to be what kind of madness she can get up to with her power-set. The rest of the team is fairly street-level (soul-eating sword aside) so for Ayer and his SFX team to have some honest-to-goodness powers to muck around with is going to be a treat. This is also taking into consideration that as some sort of ancient witch Enchantress' powers are ill-defined. As loosely set out by her comic book incarnation, she can directly affect any non-organic material - meaning a whole lot of wibbly-wobbly reality-bending stuff. She teleports and heals others as well (making her a clear asset to the team - if she can be controlled). Basically, Cara Delevingne will be carrying most of the post-production budget on her shoulders and it's going to be a real treat when audiences see it all up on the big screen - depending on if Ayer uses the character and her abilities right (fingers crossed).
