7 Overlooked Positives Of Spider-Man 3

7. That Symbiote Suit Though

By the time Spider-Man 3 came out, the series had already nailed down a pretty damn solid version of the classic Red 'n' Blues, so it was no surprise that Sam Raimi and his costume department would knock this design out of the park too. Obviously it's a hard costume to mess up (it's Spidey's little black dress), but arguably the coup de grace was the the texture of it; it has that honeycomb effect making it look like it could legitimately be an alien creature that's turned itself into a superhero costume.
Seeing the suit in action was a dream come true for fans who had fallen in love with the iconic threads ever since their first appearance in Secret Wars way back in December 1984, and the tussle with Sandman on the subway is arguably that much cooler for seeing the costume for the first time.
