7 Pieces Of Evidence That May Confirm The Joker Used To Be Robin

2. About The Rest Of Those Tattoos...

The Joker's tattoos have been controversial since they were first revealed, and while the villain's love of ink could just be a new facet of his character in the DC Extended Universe, what if they're the work of someone desperate to look like The Joker? That "Damaged" tattoo (which has been talked to death at this point) could be some sort of dig at Batman for the way he treated Robin when he was younger, pointing out the fact that the one time hero has now been transformed into a villain. The smiles on the arms and hands are also interesting considering the fact that this Joker has neither the exaggerated smile of the comic book and Jack Nicholson versions or the scars Heath Leger had. Could they be used to replicate The Joker's real smile? It's almost as if all of these tattoos are paying homage to the villain in some way rather than showcasing aspects of his personality. The tattoo with easily the most meaning though is the one of a Robin on his arm. Is that a trophy from when this Joker - assuming he's the real one - murdered the youngster or another reminder of who he used to be? It's hard to say for sure, but make no mistake about it; that's definitely a reference to Robin, and that too is another piece of evidence connecting these characters.
