Anchorman contained many big name players in the world of comedy. Representing the older generation of comic actors was the magnificent Fred Willard, who put in a splendid performance as Ed Harken. Then there was the superfecta of Ferrel, Rudd, Carell and Koechner, as the Channel 4 News Team. And a small role of eager cameraman was provided for the then relatively unknown Seth Rogen. Now Kristen Wiiig has been added to the roster to improve the already stellar cast. Wiig cut her comedy teeth in
Knocked Up and has frequently collaborated with Judd Apatow ever since. She was projected into stardom by the box office smash
Bridesmaids which she co-wrote and starred in. Rumour has it that Wiig will play the love interest of Brick Tamland. God only knows how that will work out if shes lucky she may get a private invitation to the pants party.
