7 Reasons Why Wanda Maximoff Will Be The MCU’s Greatest Threat Yet

5. Driven Mad By The Multiverse

We don’t know exactly why Wanda Maximoff appears to be trapped inside a TV Guide’s rundown of the best sitcoms of the century in the WandaVision trailers, but one thing’s for sure – reality isn't what it was, and Wanda’s reality-altering powers have a role to play in this.

Whether Wanda is changing reality as she sees fit or using her powers to connect to other universes, all this messing around with the multiverse is bound to leave Wanda pretty unsettled. Is Wanda aware of what’s going on? Was Wanda aware but now all her meddling with reality has her feeling a little lost? Or are outside forces at play? Whatever the answer, the MCU needs stability after the blip, and this isn’t the way to achieve that.

While Thanos was only able to drastically alter the main Marvel universe after assembling the six Infinity Stones, Wanda is potentially able to alter the entire multiverse unknowingly, with little effort whatsoever.

What happens when she realises the twins she imagined into existence were all just figments of her imagination? What happens when she realises Vision is still a soulless grey husk lying on Wakandan soil? But more importantly, what happens when someone, or in this case, an organisation, tries to wake her up from her perfect dream?
