7 Suggestions That Would INSTANTLY Improve Cinemas

6. Silent Cinemas (Or Heaphone Exclusive Screenings)

Ever been to a silent disco? Don't worry, you're not missing much.

But the one good thing they do provide is your own personal listening experience. Wearing headphones in a silent movie theatre while the screen flashes does reek of something akin to a Black Mirror episode. And while this would drown out the sound of people talking and eating nearby, it would feel like you are admitting defeat and submitting to those that ignorantly make it difficult to enjoy your time at the cinema.

The frustration cinema audiences feel about people talking and eating loudly plays a huge part in their decision not to go to the cinemas anymore. So the suggestion of offering headphones to watch the screening might be something that turns departed customers around.

There is a technical side to this too; because while the seat you've chosen might not be the best, you can live with it if you just crane your head slightly to see the screen properly.

The speakers on the other hand, create a 360 degree experience for the one person sitting in the very middle of the seats. With headphones on, you could watch the film from the far corner, and still get the best auditory experience because you're all listening through the same sound tuning in your headphones.

Whether you buy/borrow them from the ticket booth, or bring your own Beats in from home, an AUX port in the side of your chair could help your hear just a little bit better with no distractions.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
