7 Things Fans Demand From Loki TV Show
1. Don’t Kill Him Off
He died in Thor. And again in The Dark World. Then in Infinity War. To date, Loki’s only ‘survived’ appearing in Avengers, where he’s captured and defeated, and Ragnarok, the best received Thor movie yet.
Is it just coincidence that his two best turns have been films without a fake out death? Honestly, it possibly is. Infinity War was outstanding and gave him a good death that might be ‘genuine’, and The Dark World had bigger, Natalie Portman and Christopher Ecclestone shaped problems. As for the first Thor movie, it’s natural that the debut release would have teething problems.
While Loki’s the God of mischief and shape shifting/illusions are a key part of his power, constant ‘gotcha!’ deaths lose their power overtime. Loki simply cannot become Kenny from South Park, and while they were never going to kill him off at the end of every episode, they might well be planning a finale featuring another ‘death’.
It's fair to say that storyline is wearing thin now, given Loki’s character is so much better than that. It’s an obvious temptation for an easy cliffhanger, but here’s hoping Disney avoid it.
