It should be possible to separate a motion picture - a work of fiction - from reality. Things that we know about the private lives of movie stars, directors and writers shouldn't technically affect the experience of watching a picture, after all; knowing what happened behind the scenes of a film shouldn't bleed into our enjoyment a film, because they're two different worlds. What exists in one does not exist in the other. That said, sometimes it's possible to stumble upon a piece of information that stops you in your tracks.
