8 Actors Who Switched It Up Perfectly

7. Seth Rogen - Steve Jobs

When Aaron Sorkin decides to do a project, usually there are actors queuing around the block to get a role in it. When Danny Boyle makes a movie with an Aaron Sorkin script, the queue goes around another block.

So, when Steve Jobs announced that Seth Rogen would be playing Steve Wozniak, it's fair to say everybody had an eyebrow raised. Rogen is, of course, more prominently known for his stoner comedies and ability to turn in good quality comedy movies consistently.

When you have the same guy who played Ben in Knocked Up, taking on one of the most important figures in both Apple and the world's computing history, it would tend to raise a few questions.

However, once the movie arrived we were all blown away by Rogen's restrained and committed performance. Yes, he retained elements of himself in there, since he has a very distinctive voice, but otherwise he was able to give as good as he got in the scenes he had with Michael Fassbender.

It came out of the blue and changed the perception that many had of him once they saw his Wozniak. The real shame is that Rogen has gone back to his usual comedies and genre since the film came out when it is now apparent that he really could do so much more in a dramatic sense.
