7. Ben Hardy - X-Men: Apocalypse
Contrary to what many wannabe rising stars think, acting in a soap isn't really a springboard to greater things. The best you can hope for is that you don't get bumped off in some ratings-grabbing storyline and can stick around long enough to become dubbed a "national treasure". Few stars have actually turned a stint on Coronation Street, Emmerdale or equivalent into anything more, normally because the bar of starring in a soap is set at being able to remember the other characters names (and as the live EastEnders anniversary event proved, even that's negotiable). Ben Hardy is certainly an anomaly then. Leaving EastEnders after a key role in the Twitter-baiting Lucy Beale murder storyline, he's already got his next big role sorted; he's been cast in X-Men: Apocalypse. And not just as a "it's that guy from that thing" cameo either - Hardy's going to playing a "key role" in the sequel to Days Of Future Past, prequel to the vague events of the originals and rewrite of Origins: Wolverine (X-Men's been getting more and more complicated). Who He Could Be Playing? Bryan Singer's already been busy casting a younger version of the famous team - Sophie Turner's Jean Grey, Alexandra Shipp's Storm and Tye Sheridan's Cyclops - although with the key roles taken, Hardy has to be a hero cinemagoers are less familiar with. Given his clean good looks and age fitting the series' (admittedly shaky) continuity, the best bet is that Hardy's playing Warren Worthington III aka Angel, a character who, in the comics, is shaped in pretty significant ways by the sub-titular first mutant.
