8 Awesome Potential MCU Crossovers That Could Happen

When It Could Happen: Optimistically, by late 2018 if the delayed Cloak and Dagger arrives on its new schedule. We have no idea when to expect The Runaways, though, so perhaps 2020 is a safer bet.

This is a bit of a long shot, since Cloak and Dagger has been delayed and Runaways only recently announced. But both shows are aimed at a young adult market, and even a small crossover like this, between networks for a certain demographic, would possible be able to replicate the anticipation of The Defenders.

Both shows feature characters who are not overtly heroic, which makes a refreshing change of pace to the ABC shows and the MCU movies. This could become Marvel's television equivalent of Suicide Squad, dealing with both disillusioned characters who aren't so bad, as well as the supernatural.

Cloak and Dagger were originally Runaways themselves, so could become mentor figures to The Runaways, or offer friendship to a group of kids terrified by their powers.

As an arm of Marvel that will probably be unconnected to both the MCU and the other ABC/Netflix shows, this is perhaps the most intriguing crossover of the lot since the skillsets and origins of everyone involved could provide a new corner to Marvel - we have cosmic, mystic, earth-bound espionage and urban Marvel media. But The Runaways and Cloak and Dagger could provide us with outsider Marvel movies and shows- characters that are keen to stay away from the rest of the MCU.
