8 Coolest Winter Action Scenes In Movies

5. Japanese Garden Fight - Kill Bill, Vol. 1

Quentin Tarantino is brilliant at creating scenes in his films. He has created vast Western settings in Django Unchained, and realistic diners in Pulp Fiction. But one of his best scenes, is the simplest. A snow filled Japanese garden. This Japanese garden appears in the climax of the fantastic 2003 film Kill Bill Volume 1. Acting as the setting for a fight between Uma Thurman's character The Bride, against Lucy Liu's O-Ren Ishii, the white, snowy garden becomes the stage for the Showdown at The House of Blue Leaves. The showdown is a thrilling sword duel, as The Bride and O-Ren Ishii swirl around on the white grass of the garden, clashing blades. Complemented by a rousing soundtrack, the fight scene culminates in an apparent defeat for The Bride, who falls to the snow with a gash in her back. She is only drawing O-Ren Ishii into a trap however, and she wins the duel with one powerful stroke of her Samurai sword.

I like writing about films and hope you like reading about them too. And watching them, of course.
