8 DC Storylines That Could Compete With Marvel's Infinity War
1. Injustice
Absolute power corrupts absolutely. That was the case in DC's Injustice, which deals with an alternate and more tyrannical version of Superman, who breaks bad after the death of Lois Lane. Shortly after Clark creates a one world government, placing himself as its figurehead. There is something intriguing about to the nature of the Big Blue Boyscout's descent. For years, Superman was a beacon of hope, but in this story, the Son of Krypton is one bad man.
With Superman as the antagonist, we also see the heroes and villains of the story split between two different factions. Those who support Kal El's rule over Earth, make up Superman's Regime, while his detractors side with Batman as the Insurgency. Superman is in rare form in Injustice, as he doesn’t shy from murder, isn’t afraid of a fight, and will put down anyone in his way, friend or foe.
The popularity of Injustice is already massive, spawning 2 games and a comic series based on its premise. There might even be some hints to its live action adaptation in Batman V Superman, when The Flash warns Bruce about the dangers of Superman, stating that Lois is the key to it all.
