One of the best things about the Jurassic Park movies stems from the notion that we cannot control nature. As hard as we try to manipulate and conquer it, nature will ultimately win out. And yet, according to this trailer, Chris Pratt's character has managed to tame the primary antagonists of the series and is badass enough to ride as one of the pack, complete with cool nonchalant facial expression and a motorcycle. Okay, so we get why the filmmakers might have thought this was a neat twist on the established tropes of the series, and we assume that Pratt will ultimately enlist his trained dinosaur friends as a means of taking down the big dinosaur hybrid bad guy in the film's finale. Cool as this is, it's almost disconcerting for one reason: it betrays a key theme of the entire franchise. Besides, velociraptors should always stay bad. Like this article?
