8 Disturbing Stephen King Book Moments That Were Cut From The Films

5. It: The Weird Child Orgy

The Shining Jack Torrance
New Line Cinema

It is the most faithful Stephen King adaptation for at least a decade, and the reviews and box office takings reflect that, but fans of the book will notice a scene missing from the end.

In the novel, the Losers Club's only female member Beverly has sex with all six of the boys in the sewer following their victory over Pennywise.

Director Andy Muschetti chose to nix it from the film, and that's definitely for the best. Granted, the first half of It is about the loss of childhood innocence, but kid orgies is taking it way too far.

King has addressed the scene's omission and isn't sure what all the fuss is about. He wants to know why people are more hung up on this sex scene than the depiction of mass child murder.

Perhaps a better question to ask is why the author is so at home exploring both topics?
