8 Early Star Wars Character Designs You Won’t Believe
2. Anakin Skywalker
Sometime after Revenge of the Sith capped off the prequel trilogy, prototype designs of a transitioning Anakin Skywalker appeared online.
This image of the fallen Jedi from Iain McCaig is said to depict the character in the wake of the Mustafar duel with his former mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi.
As anyone who's sat through the movie will tell you, the final version of the pre-Vader Anakin looks much worse for wear, with gruesome prosthetic effects depicting his devastating burns.
The facial and head wounds he suffers during the scrap are clearly visible, but this version of Skywalker doesn't appear to have gone through the same fiery ordeal as the one that made it into the movie.
