8 Famous Actors You Won't Recognise In Upcoming Movies

4. Andy Serkis - Supreme Leader Snoke (Star Wars: The Force Awakens)

The brilliant, Oscar-deserving actor Andy Serkis is Hollywood's go-to guy when it comes to motion capture characters in huge blockbuster films - so much so, in fact, that he seems to have a hold over the entire market. Can you name another actor who has played so many iconic motion capture roles across the years - or even half as many? No, you cannot. As a result of his inherent technical skills in portraying characters of this type, Serkis is set to star in the upcoming Star Wars flick, The Force Awakens, as a motion capture-rendered character named "Supreme Leader Snoke" - one who - going by that moniker - we can probably assume will be a bad guy up there with Palpatine, Sauron and North Korea's dastardly Kim Jong Un. We don't know what Serkis will look like exactly yet, as no official image of Supreme Leader Snoke has been unveiled. What we do know, however, is that he won't be human, which means that - as with characters such as The Lord Of The Rings' Gollum and Planet Of The Apes' Caesar - Snoke won't actually look a lot like Serkis. Look at all those mo-cap markers!
