1. Lupita Nyong'o - Maz Kanata (Star Wars: The Force Awakens)
Like Andy Serkis, actress Lupita Nyong'o was cast in Star Wars: The Force Awakens in a mysterious role that required the use of motion capture. Given the extensive use of mo-cap markers glimpsed in the pictures we've been treated to thus far (one of which can be seen above), it seems safe to assume that she'll be playing an alien character of some sort - one that means Nyong'o won't resemble her usual self. Some of the early concept art depicts her as a green alien with a long neck, but that is yet to be confirmed by anyone over at Star Wars H.Q (though it's probably a good indication). Nobody really knows all that much about her character, Maz Kanata, at all, but some minor details have been revealed. She's assumed to be a space pirate - somebody to rival the likes of Han Solo, perhaps? Then there are the details that Kanata owns a large castle that plays host to smugglers and riff-raff and such from the EW expose, which is very curious indeed - could it be the far-off place where Luke Skywalker has holed up after all these years?
