If there's one thing rebooted franchises love doing, it's getting the original cast on-board for a cameo. For a long time now, people have been crying out for William Shatner to appear in the new Star Trek series, bringing his Kirk into the alternate timeline alongside Spock Prime. Many think it's finally going to happen in Star Trek Beyond. The reason? Well, Beyond is being released in 2016, the show's fiftieth anniversary, so it would be a great way to celebrate the series' enviable history by bringing its original star back. Heck, they could also include other notable actors from the series, including George Takei and Nichelle Nichols. There's also the sad issue of Leonard Nimoy's death, meaning his older Spock will no longer appear in the films.
