8 Films That Would Have Worked Much Better As TV Shows

1. Harry Potter

But before hating goes too far, it€™s worth recognising that the fact that Harry Potter series made it all the way to the final film is pretty impressive. When the initial plan of a film a year fell through there was a genuine risk the trio of leads, who were the correct age for the characters at the start, would end up growing too old, too fast. Although the notion of a reboot is far from the front of Warner Bros. mind, if it ever does come around the puberty issue the only real barrier to doing it right. Get over that (plus the near impossible task of recasting Alan Rickman, who essentially defined Snape) and there€™s a very simple way to do the story justice; do a Game Of Thrones. The world of Harry Potter is certainly more whimsical than Westeros, but its story has a story beyond the books to be plundered. Mix in that this time around the actual ending would be known to all involved from the start (so the bigger picture can actually be, gasp, planned out) and we could end up with a proper, developing story that regular fans would actually want to return for.
