7. Takion

Takion isn't exactly a well-known character in DC comic books, but he's a very interesting one and, most importantly as far as his inclusion in this list is concerned, he's an extremely powerful one who leaves Superman in his wake. Originally a blind psychologist called Joshua Saunders, he was chosen by the being known as Highfather to take on the role of "Source Elemental" and given the ability to manipulate the Source - a metaphysical source of power in the DC universe that is literally the source of everything in existence - because Highfather saw him as "a man without destiny" who nobody would miss. His connection to the Source gives him near-unlimited energy manipulation abilities and his physical and mental attributes have been increased exponentially as a result - his speed to the point that he can be everywhere at once and his intelligence to the point of omniscience. He is strongly associated with the New Gods, and with Darkseid potentially coming to the DCEU - and one of his many aims in the comic books being to take over the Source - Takion could stand in his way and assist the heroes of Earth in defeating him.
