7. Getting Hammered - Superman III
In easily the most ridiculous segment in the entire Superman legacy, a kryptonite infected Superman goes on a drinking binge in the third installment of the Christopher Reeve quadrilogy. Here is one guy who just shouldn't drink ever. As he sits at the bar downing shot after shot Superman decides he's not showing the world his angry side enough so he flips over a bowl of nuts. Lining his salty snack up on the bar surface he begins flicking them hard enough to obliterate glass bottles of booze. Just before he gets eighty-sixed Superman uses his x-ray vision to melt a weird hole in the mirror as if to say: "I'll see myself out." After stumbling through a crowd of horrified people Superman takes flight only to crash land in a junkyard and have a fistfight with Clark Kent (his good half). The real question you might be asking yourself by this point is if this is Superman's Fight Club moment? Is he really just beating the crap out of himself, but doesn't realize it? Kryptonite or not, Superman might want to get some professional counselling so he can discover what lies beneath his surface to make him fly off the handle when he gets s**t-faced.
