1. Pretty Much Destroys Metropolis - Man of Steel
Easily the most morally questionable action committed by recent Superman is allowing Zod to fight him in the middle of Metropolis. The two trade blows, destroying the city around them Godzilla style, racking up billions of dollars worth of damage. As the fight demolishes the city Clark swore to protect civilians run screaming as their buildings collapse. Even though we don't see any on screen the amount of innocent deaths caused by this fight would have to total in the thousands, but Clark doesn't stop to help them - he's too busy fending off Zod's next power punch. This action is not very Superman at all. He wouldn't let Zod fight him in the heart of Metropolis knowing the amount of damage that might be caused. Nor would he continue to fight while millions of lives were put in jeopardy around them. No, Superman would have taken Zod out of the city or into outer space where he would have stopped him in a non-lethal way. So the most questionable act committed by the Man of Steel in history is not the killing of Zod, but him destroying Metropolis in the fight to bring Zod down. Batman wouldn't even do that to Gotham.
