8 Iconic Britons That Need Their Own Biopics (And Who Should Play Them)

2. NA As Banksy

Banksy I The obvious problem with a Banksy biopic is that yes, nobody knows what he looks like. It doesn't however mean that we know nothing about the artist/political activist. It is believed that he was born out of the Bristol underground scene and that he took part in the boom of aerosol protests that took place in Bristol in the early eighties. Some even claim to know that he is the son of a photocopier technician... who knows? It's all things to be explored in this biopic. The way to approach it is not to focus on the man himself, but of the ripples he causes on both a personal and political level. The story could follow a young journalist intent on discovering Banksy's identity against the background of a rising social movement that he inspires. The film would have the look and feel of something in the vain of 'V For Vendetta' or even 'The Usual Suspects' ("Who is Keyser Soze?"... "Who is Banksy?") It's the kind of film that could be directed by a young up and comer - someone fresh onto the scene with big ideas and the balls to make a biopic of a such a mysterious figure.
