3. He Became A Sword Master For Real

In addition to getting swole to play Deadpool of his own volition, Reynolds also hired a sword master on his own dime to train him in the art of swordplay.

While he doesn't make particularly extensive use of swords in either movie, Reynolds certainly looks capable-as-hell handling the blades when he does, and considering the rough-edged nature of the character, again he probably could've easily gotten away with decidedly less prep.

More than anything it's just further proof that Reynolds wasn't interested in phoning things in and doing a merely adequate amount of homework.

From his swordsmanship through to his physique and everything in-between, he really gave both movies his all. But considering how awful things turned out in X-Men Origins: Wolverine's first go-around, perhaps guilt was a partly motivating factor...
