With so many folks working their asses off in order to ensure that each and every moment on camera looks and sounds exactly how their director wants it to, a few crew members accidentally popping into frame is about as inevitable as Captain Jack Sparrow necking a bottle of rum.

And what do you know, after managing to get through an entire feature without even one rogue part of the filmmaking crew wiggling into a scene, the very last moment of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl contains a hilarious, accidental cameo.

After Jack orders his crew of pirate lads and lasses to get back to work late on, one of said "scabrous dogs" suddenly rushing to their post went and revealed what looks like a strange cowboy pirate enjoying the ocean view.

Director Gore Verbinski did his best to divert attention away from the accidental appearance by swiftly cutting to a shot of more pirates banging into one another on the ship.

But once you spot the Pearl's unexpected cowboy crew member over Johnny Depp's shoulder, it's pretty difficult to unsee!
