8 More Star Wars Questions That Always Confused You

3. Where Does Darth Vader Go After A New Hope?

Sticking with A New Hope, one of the most triumphant moments in the whole film is when Han Solo returns in the Millennium Falcon to blast Darth Vader's Tie Fighter out of the sky, and give Luke a clear shot at the Death Star's weak spot.

Not only is this a proper punch-the-air moment, but it also handily keeps Vader off the battle station when it explodes. This frees him up to appear in the sequel, but where did he go after he was sent spiralling into space?

Well, in the 2003 comic-book Empire 14, it's revealed that the Sith Lord crash-landed his badly-damaged fighter on a jungle planet called Vaal. There, he is forced to defend himself against a group of bloodthirsty animals called hyenax.

He actually ends up becoming the pack leader, which evokes all sorts of images of Vader pretending to be a dog.

In the end, he gets to an Imperial outpost and is rescued, but not before ordering his new friends to kill the crew he deems as too lazy.

Remember folks, your boss can show up at any time. And they might have some space hyenas with them.
