1. How Did Vader Know Luke Was His Son?
It's one of the most famous scenes in cinema history.
Luke, minus one hand, is clinging on for dear life while Vader monologues about ruling the galaxy. One "No, I am your father" later, and movies were never the same again.
Famously, even George Lucas didn't know that Luke Skywalker was Darth Vader's son until late in the day. So how did the character himself learn the identity of his bouncing baby boy?
At the end of Revenge of the Sith, Palpatine tells Vader that Padme is dead. He doesn't know that she gave birth before she snuffed it, so when did he discover that Luke and Leia had been born?
In official Star Wars Canon, none other than Boba Fett provides Vader with this information.
The bounty hunter discovers Luke's surname after he destroyed the Death Star, allowing Vader to put two and two together. This would explain why he didn't know about Leia until Return of the Jedi, as she had a different surname.
You'd have thought that Obi-Wan and Yoda would've considered changing Luke's surname when he was a baby. Although, Luke Lars doesn't have quite the same ring to it.
