8 More Star Wars Questions That Always Confused You
Some Star Wars moments require a LOT more explanation than others...
When it comes to dedicated fanbases, Star Wars is up there with one of the biggest and the scariest. Seriously, don't you dare think about saying anything bad about this franchise, because people will come for you.
This passionate audience contains many subsections, one of which is the super hardcore: the ones who know everything there is to know about Star Wars, and insist on telling you all about it.
Real fun at house parties, they are.
However, there are questions in the Lucas-verse that even a hardcore super fan would struggle to answer. Eight of them have already been answered in a previous list, but there are plenty more where that came from!
Outside of the main films, there are tons of TV shows, novels, comic-books, and video games that shed light on certain bits of lore that have often been overlooked. Character backgrounds, important plot points, missing story arcs: let's put some of those nagging queries you have to rest...
8. When Did Darth Vader Get A Servant?
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story might be the best self-contained Star Wars movie of all time. It was better than Solo, that much is certain.
As well as answering the major question of how the Rebel Alliance got hold of the Death Star plans, it also gave further insight into the life of the series' most popular baddie.
Darth Vader turns up a few times throughout Rogue One, voiced by a James Earl Jones who was then in his mid-80s. In one scene, we get a look at Vader's fortress on Mustafar - you know, the place where he was dismembered by his former master.
Weird choice for a home, but hey ho.
As well as seeing him taking a dip in his trusty bacta tank, we're also introduced to his servant. But wait a second - when did Darth Vader have someone on the payroll? Where did this guy come from?
According to the comic-book Shadow of Vader's Castle, this guy is called VaneƩ, and he's a former Imperial Inspector. Vader broke his spirit by exposing him to the toxic lava fumes of Mustafar, which transformed VaneƩ into the Sith Lord's devoted servant.
It's not a particularly pleasant answer, but it is an answer!
