8 Most Hilariously Bad Things About The New Aquaman Image

8. Unite The Seven?

OK, so before diving into the design of Aquaman himself, let's take a look at how it's presented. Snyder tweeted it along with the phrase "There is only one true King", which is pretty ballsy - surely Warners will reboot this the moment a film doesn't stick? But, more interestingly, the image comes emblazoned with the worlds "UNITE THE SEVEN". The seven what, exactly? It's a dominating part of the image, but adds nothings to it. As it's Aquaman, it could be relating to the seven seas, although in that case it's a rather empty phrase. More likely is that it's referring to the line-up of the Justice League - Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Shazam, The Flash and this rad surfer dude. Now that's OK, if bizarrely sudden. Fair enough, Batman V Superman is still a year away and a proper advertising angle still hasn't been decided, but as the press coverage for the film has been pretty constant since 2013, you'd think something as simple as a marketing hashtag could have been worked out sooner and teased before becoming the central phrase? Hate to go back to that now age old gripe, but it really does look like Batman V Superman has morphed through production to become Pre-Justice League, feat. a minor scuffle between Bats and Supes.
