8. Christian Bale Loses It With Terminator Salvation Director Of Photography Shane Hurlbut
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0auwpvAU2YA It was 2008 and Christian Bale was at the height of his powers. The Dark Knight had been released the previous year to incredible success and he had taken the lead role in another gigantic franchise film, Terminator: Salvation. However, all the good fortune in the world can't necessarily settle a bad temper, as director of photography Shane Hurlbut discovered. The crew member was moving a light while Bale was shooting a take, which the actor took issue with, as documented in an infamous audio recording leaked online in February 2009. Bale screams at the offending party, telling him that he wanted him off the set and calling him an amateur. As has now become Hollywood lore, he eventually tells Hurlbut that he's "a nice guy" but that they're now "done professionally". Bale later apologised for his outburst when it became clear that he'd overreacted to a pretty extreme degree, and his career has slowed down a little since (his final Batman film notwithstanding), as has Hurlbut's. The cinematographer has had credits on only a few movies since Salvation, the only one of note being this year's Need For Speed.
