6. Napoleon Dynamite
I truly believe that this film served as the harbinger of the hipster movement. Everything about it, from the sense of humor to the ironic "not sure if it's in the 80s or just weird" vibe. It was just so pretentiously self-aware that of course, everyone had to start quoting it. And for a short time, it was everywhere. Vote for Pedro t-shirts. Jon Heder being mildly relevant. I even remember seeing Napoleon Dynamite chapstick at Media Play for "when your lips hurt real bad". Napoleon Dynamite may have been funny for approximately three months after it came out, but that movie had a seriously limited shelf life. Nevertheless, people ran that schtick into the ground. And I did not appreciate it.
