8 Movies Too Upsetting To Watch Twice

5. Henry: Portrait of A Serial Killer

01.04.2013henry-portrait-of-a-serial-killer-poster Michael Rooker, aka Merle Dixon of The Walking Dead, made his film debut in 1986 as Henry Lee Lucas in Henry: Portrait of A Serial Killer. The film is a shocking account of the life of the real Lucas, who claims to have killed 600 people. Many of his confessions were deemed false, but he did still kill more people than any reasonable person should. Lucas was cold-blooded in the strictest sense of the word, killing with extraordinary ease. The first images we see in Henry: POASK are a series of nude, murdered women in various locations. This starts us off feeling disturbed before we even have a chance to settle in. If you can make it past that, things don't get much better. Henry teaches his sadistic pal Otis how to kill, and soon the pair are spending their nights slaughtering innocent people. In one horrifying scene, Henry and Otis video tape themselves invading a home and killing the family living there. The scene is much longer than you'd hope it to be, drawing out the terror of the residents to a sickening point. Later, Henry and Otis watch the video in their living room like it's a fun home movie. Henry: POASK is a movie that will leave you feeling incredibly dirty, but it's still a solid piece of cinema.
