8 Probable Movies For MCU Phase 4 (That Nobody Wants)

Here's hoping Marvel Studios don't go ahead with these movies...

You've really got to hand it to Marvel Studios: the MCU has been a phenomenal success and it is unprecedented for such a project to already also have 11 more movies in production. That's no small feat. Moreover, although this isn't confirmed, it is believed that Marvel Studios' president Kevin Feige has plans for the franchise that will take it up to 2028. That means a fourth MCU phase is definitely going to happen and fans are already predicting which movies it will be composed of. Some of those predictions for that fourth phase would be wonderful - a Runaways movie, World War Hulk and a Black Widow solo movie, for example - but others don't really stand up. Unfortunately, some of the least inspiring sounding projects are also the most inevitable, whether fans want them or not...

8. Avengers: Infinity War - Part 3

Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1 and Part 2 are scheduled in Phase Three for releases in 2018 and 2019 respectively. Since the double event was announced in October of 2014, fans have generally expected it to be wrapped up by the end of the second movie - i.e. Thanos will turn up in Part One, make one hell of a mess to end the movie on a cliffhanger, only for heroic reinforcements to arrive and defeat him in Part Two. Rumours are now beginning to circulate about that not necessarily being the case - there may well be a Part Three in Phase Four. That would be too much and nobody would really want that. The Avengers get enough screen time and, following on from an event like the Infinity War, Phase Four should think more about fresh faces. As cool as the two movies are going to be, two movies is indeed enough. Let's hope Marvel Studios don't opt to make a third.
