If you were to name the cast involved here to most people without actually naming the movie, chances are they would immediately want to buy a ticket. Why's that? Well, The Lego Movie stars a great deal of actors and actresses from the realms of popular culture - and a few of these celebrities are massive hits with most people. One of the biggest names on the cast list is Morgan Freeman, who surprisingly agreed to play the role of Vitruvius the old wizard. Freeman arguably has one of the best voices known to mankind, so it's great to see that he decided to play one of the main roles. One of the other casting surprises is Liam Neeson, who plays Bad Cop/Good Cop, a police officer with a split personality. Neeson was brilliant in Ricky Gervais' Life's Too Short, so hopefully he'll be just as funny as Lego. For fans of American comedy television, The Lego Movie is also going to prove a real treat. Community favourite Alison Brie turns up as Unikitty, who hails from Cloud Cuckoo Land, a wondrous place that is regarded as the 'Capital of Rainbows and Puppies' Brie is therefore the perfect choice for such a quirky character. The most exciting casting decision though arrives in the form of Batman, who is voiced by Will Arnett. Undoubtedly the best character from the cult television show Arrested Development, Arnett will be a scene stealer as the Dark Knight. Here's hoping an Arrested Development quote is thrown in for good measure, too: "BEES?!" The cast is brimming with a medley of great voices and the list even extends to Charlie Day, who plays Benny the 80s era astronaut, who will be a hit with the older Lego fans. The DC Heroes of the Lego universe are also played by Channing Tatum (Superman), Jonah Hill (Green Lantern) and Cobie Smulders (Wonder Woman). Will Ferrell also turns up this movie as one of the most evil Lego oppressors, Lord Business, and Elizabeth Banks has her first major voice acting role as Wyldstyle, the main female protagonist.
