8 Reasons Splitting Batman V Superman In Two Would Ruin The Movie

4. They've Been Advertising The Wrong Film

Since May 2014, the World's Finest movie has been known as Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. That what all the press releases and media coverage have been calling it. And if it's now really going to be two films, then Warner have made a massive marketing mistake - they've been pushing the wrong movie. In the two-parter structure, Part 1 serves as half the advertising for Part 2, meaning typically more effort is put in pushing that first one (look at how the marketing for the later films of The Hobbit Trilogy was less extensive and drawn out than it was for the first). And yet all this time Warner have been pushing the second part, with the Dawn Of Justice subtitle even overtaking Batman V Superman in terms of the film's go-to nickname. That could prove to be a ruinous move. Not only does that support the thinking Warner are making this up on the spot, but it means Enter The Knight is operating at a distinct disadvantage. This wouldn't be such an issue, if it wasn't for the next point.
