8 Reasons Why A Joker & Harley Quinn Movie Is A Terrible Idea

1. The DCEU Is Already In A Terrible State

Despite Wonder Woman providing a lifeline for the folks at DC until Justice League's release, Warner Bros.' premier franchise is still in dire straits, with three consecutive underwhelming releases to its name.

The fact of the matter is that Justice League has to perform to continue where Wonder Woman left off, otherwise it's back to square-one for Warner Bros.' much maligned cinematic universe.

And again, if Justice League doesn't perform - and there's every chance that it won't - then DC will only have one solid release to its name, meaning that other productions entering the fold will have even more pressure to perform. Harley and Joker can't and won't be the film that allays these fears, and nor will it be one that fans will want to see. It's the perfect storm to exemplify WB's botched approach to the DC license and, given free reign, it could easily sink what the studio have been working towards for the past four years.

Granted that's not much, but still.

A Harley/Joker rom-com would be a catatonic failure for DC in every sense of the word. Just pull the plug on it already.
