8 Reasons Why Tom Hardy Will Be The Biggest Actor Of 2015

4. He's Taking On Multiple Roles Of A Lifetime

Ronald and Reginald Kray are iconic figures, yet the most famous screen adaptation of their lives so far (Peter Medak's imaginatively titled The Krays) saw Martin and Gary Kemp from Spandau Ballet paired up in the lead roles. It's hardly the stuff cinematic dreams are made of. In 2015, writer-director Brian Helgeland and Tom Hardy may just put memories of the Kemp brothers playing two of Britain's scariest men to bed for good. With an actor of fitting talent and intensity taking on both roles, Helgeland could - nay, should - have himself the defining portrayals of both men in the can and ready to screen for awards consideration this year. Obviously, Hardy also has another iconic role on the roster in 2015, with Mad Max: Fury Road. Time will tell whether Hardy will outshine the original Max, but stepping into Mel Gibson's enormous shoes to continue the character's journey means Hardy has pretty much already officially 'made it'.
