4. Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull (2008) 19 Years
Who doesn't want to be Indiana Jones? Crack a whip. Find buried treasure. Beat up Nazis. Raiders of the Lost Ark is an iconic film of adventure and action that warranted two follow ups that sent Indy even deeper into nail-biting adventures with Temple of Doom and The Last Crusade. So when TLC released in 1989 and a few years went by we figured Harrison Ford had hung the fedora up for good, but that was not the case 19 years later when Kingdom of the Crystal Skull came to cinemas. Who didn't want more wise-cracking Indy...with a son?
Was it worth it? Turns out no one wanted to see that. Lost in awful computer graphics, ridiculous action sequences, and a resolution that ended in a cop-out of aliens, not many people found their selves convinced to like this one. One could make the argument that another Indiana Jones was worth making. However, the final product was a mess that many have to ignore when thinking of the legacy of Dr. Jones.
