Predator is strong, violent and ruthless. That alone is enough to make you want to keep your distance, but the cerebral aspect of Predator is a large part of what makes it so unpalatable. It is, as the title suggests, a predator, stalking and hunting Arnold Schwarznegger's band of brothers through the jungle and picking them off one by one for no discernible reason. However, despite the apparent lack of motive, Predator is a smart creature, driven by intelligence rather than instinct, with technology that vastly surpasses anything that Arnie has at his disposal. Of course, despite all the tech, Predator is still deeply revolting. Its form is roughly human, but his face is something else. Its forehead is that of a Klingon, its hair dreadlock-like tentacles. The mouth is the pièce de résistance though. At rest it is a fleshy triangle adorned by close-set vicious-looking teeth. However, when vexed, or alternatively ready to kill, it blows outwards, the cheeks stretching to reveal still more teeth. I'll watch anything, so long as it has a juicy plot, a couple of twists and hopefully a few scares. My favourite films include The Fugitive, The Last Starfighter and The Secret In Their Eyes. Television wise, I'm a big fan of the Nordic Noir, Sherlock and Doctor Who. All the classics!
