8 Sequels Teased In Post-Credits Scenes (That Never Actually Happened)

2. Deadpool

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVqaOw9lCeM This one's a bit of a cheat because it wasn't so much trying to sell us on the idea of a sequel as it was a spin-off film for one of its characters. X-Men Origins: Wolverine was a terrible film by any and all standards, namely the manner in which it depicted fan favourite comic book character Deadpool, who ends up having his head sliced off by Wolverine. After the credits, though, we pass through the rubble of the destroyed reactor and see someone come across Deadpool's severed head, which then springs to life as its eyes open. I'm in two minds about this one; it's extremely goofy and Deadpool still looks crap, but at the same time it posits the possibility of a standalone Deadpool film, which is really what everyone wanted in the first place (albeit not from the minds of anyone associated with this dreck). There was another stinger that depicted Wolverine in Japan, but alas that film actually got made and is released soon - James Mangold's The Wolverine reboot. As for why the Deadpool film never got made, it seems to be a case of the studio not wanting to gamble on a heavily R-rated script that was recently turned in.
