8 Sequels That Killed Off Heroes In Minutes

After surviving the entire first film and her deadly encounter with Jason's exceedingly pissed off mother, Pamela Voorhees, Alice Hardy is killed off before the opening credits even roll in the sequel.

In the first film, she was forced to watch as all of her friends and fellow counselors were killed off, one-by-one, only surviving because she was able to discover the identity and nature of the true killer. She killed Pamela Voorhees and then drifted out onto the waters of Crystal Lake (for some reason), only to be attacked by a young, deformed, undead boy who she assumed to be Jason.

Though it was later played off as a dream, and director Sean S. Cunningham has since gone on to say it was little more than a joke of a stinger, the implication was clear: a sequel would, ideally, center on Alice and Jason.

And it did... for a couple of minutes. A fully-grown Jason shows up at Alice's house, puts his decapitated mother's head in her fridge (as one does), and then murderers her. In reality, this was done because actress Adrienne King was dealing with a stalker-related problem after the first film and simply felt unsafe performing the second film in its entirety.

Thus, Alice was killed off and a new final girl was introduced for the remainder of the sequel.
