Adam West admittedly hasn't been too relevant in quite some time mostly just parodying himself on Family Guy, but he is the original Batman. With that comes a collective ear to your words whether people take your words with stride or a grain of salt. Nevertheless, here is what Adam had to say in an interview with Yahoo Movies;

He then went on to say that Ben has the talent for the role and passed along some advice;
First of all, let the costume work for you, I know it's working from the outside in, but you can adapt. And don't take yourself too seriously. I think you should always have a little bit of reserve spark of what's going on out there outside the costume. 'Is this really me? Am I this crazy? That was kind of funny!'
