8 Things We Need To See In The R-Rated Cut Of Batman V Superman

2. A More Harrowing Origin Story For Batman

Some recently released images for Batman V Superman revealed that the movie is going to touch on Bruce Wayne's early years fairly extensively, with scenes revolving not only around the murder of his parents, but also the moment he falls down into what one day becomes the Batcave. Snyder clearly wants to deliver his own take on these iconic moments in Batmanr's history, but this R-Rated cut allows the filmmaker to take things even further. While I'm not suggesting brutally violent scenes of the Waynes being attacked - it's not like we need to see Joe Chill beheading Thomas and Martha in front of their young son! - that R-Rating at least opens the door to their murder being a lot bloodier than it otherwise would be. Portraying it as a truly traumatising moment in Bruce's life would also go a long way in explaining why this Batman is so much more violent and unforgiving.
