8 Things You Need To Know About Ben Affleck's Batman Movie

1. It's Likely Going To Be Released In 2018

When Warner Bros. announced their DC Comics slate, there was no sign of solo movies for Batman and Superman, though a press release did mention that those were in the works. Seeing as Affleck is in the process of directing Live By Night, he has a pretty stacked schedule, especially when he's due to start work on Justice League Part One not too long after, with Part Two (they won't shoot back to back) also on the way. Where he can possibly squeeze in The Batman is tough to say then, but it's thought that it will be shot shortly after he finishes the first Justice League movie. That's because the studio is taking aim at a Fall 2018 release date. In fact, if the November slot which has been rumoured is accurate, that means The Batman would have gone head to head with Captain Marvel, a movie since moved to the following March. Batman V Superman may have shied away from taking on Captain America: Civil War, but the little known Captain Marvel wouldn't stand a chance against the Caped Crusader, so this release date shuffle could be because Marvel heard that The Batman is taking aim at November and they've got out of dodge before it's made official to save face. As a result, that's when we should expect to see The Batman... Are you excited for The Batman? Or are you more fussed about the bigger Justice League flicks? Share your thoughts down in the comments.
