If Im being honest, Im amazed that Uatu the Watcher hasnt already appeared in a post credits sting somewhere by now, especially with the build up to Thanos Infinity War well and truly under way. The Watcher is just that, an omniscient being with a giant cranium who observes the major events of the universe to chronicle them impartially. You know something big is going to go down when The Watcher turns up. Having vowed never to interfere in a species development after they inadvertently caused a cosmic catastrophe, the race of Watchers are usually pretty secretive,. Uatu has frequently revealed himself to Earths heroes to warn them of impending destruction though, making him a striking presence. Including Uatu would be a strong way of linking the destiny of the Guardians with that of their earthbound counterparts, giving each character a glimpse of what has been and what might be. Most importantly though Uatus introduction would provide the perfect means to foreshadow Thanos rampage through the MCU. As it stands the Mad Titan is too much of an abstract threat, and a glimpse of what he could do or already has done would certainly up the stakes heading into Avengers: Infinity War.
