8 Villains That Need To Appear In Batfleck's Arkham Asylum Movie
7. Man-Bat
Dr. Kirk Langstrom strikes another tragic figure in Batman's rogues gallery. A scientist specialising in the studies of bats, depending on what origin you choose, Langstrom creates a serum to cure deafness for either his niece or himself. In a classic comic book twist of events, the serum transforms Langstrom into a horrific hybrid of man and bat hence the original name.
A twisted reflection of the Caped Crusader, the Man-Bat stalks prey during the night and strikes fear into the hearts of those he comes into contact with. The difference between him and Bruce Wayne however, is that Langstrom loses his memory and intelligence when transforming into the monstrous bat creature, resulting in murderous tendencies. Cutting a tragic figure, Man-Bat occasionally retains enough of his humanity to help the Batman on his adventures and often wakes up the next day unaware of his crimes.
Man-Bat imagery has been played with on the big screen before as recently as Batman v Superman and the character provides a unique visual opportunity to portray a Batman-like figure as a gothic, monstrous entity. Affleck could really push the visuals of the Man-Bat and create horror inspired set pieces unlike anything seen before in a Batman film.
As a side note, if you've played Arkham Knight (you should have) you'll understand just how bloody scary this character can be.
