8 Ways Infinity War Could Affect Netflix's Marvel Universe
1. The New Superhero Status Quo
For good or ill, the MCU's physical, social, and political landscape will change drastically after Infinity War. Not only in the sense that it'll change the lives of the heroes within the universe, but also that it'll affect the landscape of the MCU as a whole too.
The Disney-Fox merger opens the doors to even more heroes to pop up in the MCU's roster, looking at mutants in Westchester and even Marvel's first family settling into the Baxter Building standing over New York City.
If Marvel goes back on their word that the Netflix heroes will never cross over to the films (which, given how much the franchise has evolved, isn't out of the question), it may very well expand the Netflix universe to blockbuster proportions, working to as big a crossover event as the Infinity War that came before it. With that growth, the idea of Disney shuffling its multitude of TV properties to an exclusive streaming service isn't far off.
But where does that leave our favorite Defenders? It remains to be seen, but with old staples of the MCU set to depart for good, who's to say they won't take a more prominent role going forward?
