8 Ways The New Batman V Superman Trailer Proves It Will Be 2016's Best Comic Book Movie

5. Batfleck Is Clearly Better Than Christian Bale

Don't get me wrong, I loved Christian Bale as Batman, but it's pretty obvious that "Batfleck" is going to completely redefine Batman and deliver the take on the Caped Crusader that comic book fans have been waiting to see for years. For starters, it's a huge relief that Ben Affleck's Batman has ditched the growly voice Bale used while suited up - what we hear from him instead sounds just about perfect. There's only a subtle difference between how he talks as Bruce and Batman, and fans of Kevin Conroy's voiceover work will no doubt be very relieved to see that Affleck is going down this route. The costume too is arguably the best version of the Batsuit to grace the big screen to date, and while the variations are cool and all, the main version - inspired by The Dark Knight Returns - is absolutely stellar. Perhaps it's just the Batman fanboy in me, but he's currently the most exciting thing about this movie, and the trailer proves that. With costume designer Michael Wilkinson confirming that the "Knightmare Batman" costume is indeed from a nightmare Bruce Wayne has, that too points to a psychologically complex Caped Crusader who is struggling to come to terms with having to deal with the hero he perceives as a threat.
